Welcome to my collection of images made while living and traveling the western United States and mainland Mexico. Since 2006 my simple life in a small Mexican village has allowed me the time to explore photography with a renewed passion for venturing outdoors to capture the essences of the world around us. So I thank you for your visit... I hope to share with you a glimpse of our world in these lower latitudes, and provide you some insight into it's people, the wildlife and the unique environment surrounding it all.

I invite you to sit back, enjoy browsing the galleries, and hope you will tell me your thoughts via the Guestbook.
I wish you a rewarding visual experience..... Chris Parsons

While pursuing a degree in Marine Biology, Chris Parsons was one of the lead photographers for San Diego State University. This opportunity built the foundation for his interests in photography. But, once out of college, Chris embarked on a twenty year career in Information Technologies. His responsibilities left little time for more serious photographic endeavors. With time his focus in photography began to decline.

In 2004 Chris embarked on a one year sabbatical that included a lengthy 9000 mile road trip through mainland Mexico. He journeyed the coastal perimeter of Mexico as far south as Belize, and side-tripped into various regions of the interior. The country's natural resources left a lasting impression on him. In 2006 he liquidated and moved to the small coastal village of San Pancho, nestled in the jungles between the beautiful beaches of the Pacific and the infamous mountains of the Sierra Madres. Here, a simpler life has provided Chris the time to further expand his knowledge of photography. He has come to more fully appreciate the unspoiled landscapes of Mexico and it's inhabitants as a canvas for capturing the elements of this environment through the spectrum of light.

Chris welcomes your thoughts and comments via the Guestbook. If you are planning a visit to the Puerto Vallarta area, Chris invites you to further explore his works in the galleries of San Pancho, an easy 45 minute drive north through the Riviera Nayarit.
